WoodMizer LT-10

WoodMizer LT-10 Manual Bandsaw Mill

As a hobby sawyer, I could not see spending the big money on a hydraulic mill.  With the amount of logs I am cutting during a weekend, this mill does just fine.  This milling platform with the upgraded 10hp engine will accept logs up to 20" across and 10'4" in lenght.  I find that logs with those dimensions are hard too find, and even harder to move without heavy equipment... none of which I own or use.  That's right, everything I cut, I move with a Maasdam rope puller, snatch-blocks, Warn ATV winch, and my cant hook.  It's always a weight thing!

On the logs that I find that are far beyond my capabilities of moving in the field, I find that my Stihl 064 with 36" ripping set-up and an Alaskan Chainsaw Mill attachment will make fine slabs.  Max size for those slabs can be up to 32-1/2" wide and as long as the log is long!  Currently do not have any BIG slabs onhand, but I'm always looking for giant trees felled by the storms.
