I added a new species of timber today. Welcome some American Persimmon to the line-up! This stuff cuts great on the lathe, because it is hard timber(the big companies use to make golf club heads out of it). And when you are done turning it, it'll sand flat and silky smooth with very little effort. I used 'Shine Juice' for a finish.....the stuff glows on it!
Other things happening? You bet!
Have decided to upgrade the bandsaw mill, tired of having to 'walk away' from milling timber for people because they can't get their logs to me. The WoodMizer LT10 will be sold and I will order another 'orange paint' model that can be towed to where the logs are. I'll have to refigure the cost of milling at that time....a lot of things to consider while milling somewhere.
If you know anyone that is looking for a great mill that can handle big hardwoods....let them know I have one. Yes, I can walk them through running the mill. Yes, I have a log that can be a 'demo cutter'. Yes, this mill sale is almost $1,600.00 less then a new mill. Yes, you need this!
I'll be cutting timber tomorrow, but maybe I'll find time at some point to offer a 'new' sale item. Maybe?
